Supported formats
PDFandDOC supports PDF, selected image formats, ICO and DOCX across different tools. Word to Image and Word to PDF accept DOCX only, OCR PDF accepts PDF, and legacy .doc is not supported.
Supported inputs and outputs
- PDF-focused tools accept PDF (application/pdf) where stated on the tool page; password-protected PDFs remain unsupported.
- Image to PDF and Image to ICO accept browser-decodable PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and BMP images; ICO to PNG accepts ICO input.
- Word to Text accepts DOCX only and extracts TXT in your browser. Secure Cloud Word to Image and Word to PDF also accept DOCX only; legacy DOC is not accepted. OCR PDF accepts PDF and produces a searchable PDF.

Scope and limitations
- Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are unsupported and fail closed without a password prompt, password upload, password storage, decryption or permission bypass.
- Image to Word performs OCR on supported images in your browser and creates editable DOCX output. Word to Text accepts DOCX for browser-based extraction. Word to Image and Word to PDF use Secure Cloud processing and accept DOCX only; OCR PDF uses Secure Cloud processing. PDF to Word accepts PDFs with useful native text and has no OCR or cloud fallback.
- Fill PDF adds flattened overlays; it does not detect or fill native AcroForm or XFA structures.
- Visual Sign adds flattened visual page content; it is not certificate-backed digital signing or an e-sign workflow.
- Visual Sign can use a bounded local PNG/JPEG image as an auxiliary visual-signature source; that signature-image path is separate from the dedicated Image to PDF converter.
