What this tool does

Image to Word OCR reads text from a supported image locally in your browser and prepares an editable DOCX result.

How to use it

  1. Choose an image from your device or import a supported image directly from a URL.
  2. Choose the OCR recognition language separately from the interface language.
  3. Run OCR, review the recognized text, then download the editable DOCX.

Limits and fidelity

  • OCR accuracy depends on image sharpness, contrast, orientation and source typography.
  • Large or high-resolution images can require more device memory and processing time.
  • The DOCX preserves recognized text for editing but may not reproduce the original visual layout exactly.
  • Up to 10 images, 25 MiB per image and 50 MiB total.
  • Handwriting, formulas, complex tables/forms, poor scans and difficult multi-column layouts may be recognized inaccurately.

Privacy

Supported OCR processing runs in your browser. Image bytes are not sent to PDFandDOC servers for recognition.

There is no server OCR or document-conversion fallback. OCR models, the OCR worker and DOCX generation run on your device after you start the tool.

Safety

Review recognized text before relying on the DOCX for important, legal, financial or accessibility-sensitive content.

About this workflow

Image to Word uses browser-local OCR to recognize text from supported images and creates an editable DOCX. OCR language is chosen independently from the interface language, so a Vietnamese interface can recognize English text or any other supported OCR language.

OCR models, recognition and DOCX generation run on the device after you start the tool. There is no hidden server OCR fallback, and the primary product output is Word/DOCX rather than a plain-text file.

What to check before processing

Choose clear, correctly oriented images and select the language that matches the text in the document. High contrast, sufficient resolution and minimal blur generally give OCR more usable pixels to analyze, but no accuracy percentage is promised.

The selected-state image preview comes from the actual image. Use it to catch wrong orientation, unreadable text or an accidental file before loading the OCR runtime.

What to expect from the result

The primary result is an editable DOCX containing recognized text. An optional text editor can expose the OCR text for review, but it is secondary to the Word document and does not change the product into a TXT converter.

Recognition can be inaccurate for handwriting, equations, complex tables, decorative fonts, poor scans and difficult multi-column layouts. Review important text against the source image before relying on the DOCX.

Common uses

  • Turn a photo of printed text into an editable Word draft.
  • Recover text from a scanned image without uploading it for OCR.
  • Create a DOCX starting point from receipts, notices or simple printed pages.

Tips for a better result

  • Select the OCR language that matches the source text, not the site interface.
  • Use sharp, straight images with readable contrast when possible.
  • Proofread names, numbers and tables carefully after recognition.
