About this workflow

Merge PDF combines two or more selected PDF files into one document. The order shown in the workspace is the order used for the combined result, so the preparation step matters when separate reports, appendices, scans or forms need to become one package.

The merge runs in the browser. The selected PDF bytes are read locally, pages are copied into a new PDF in the chosen file order, and the result is verified before download. This tool does not send a merge job to Secure Cloud.

What to check before processing

Review every selected filename, file size and available page information before merging. Reorder files with the provided controls rather than relying on the order in which your operating system returned them, and remove any accidental selection before starting.

If the final document needs a different order within a source PDF, organize that PDF first. Merge PDF combines files; it is not a substitute for page-level reordering inside each input.

What to expect from the result

The result is one PDF containing the pages from every accepted source. The result panel reports the generated file and available size or page metadata, provides a truthful PDF preview when the browser can render it, and makes the merged PDF the primary download.

Keep the originals until you have checked page order, page count and any forms or unusual PDF features that matter to your workflow. Combining pages does not promise that every advanced feature from every source will behave identically in every viewer.

Common uses

  • Combine a report with appendices before sharing one file.
  • Join several scanned document batches in a deliberate order.
  • Collect related statements, forms or reference PDFs into one package.

Tips for a better result

  • Put files in final reading order before running the merge.
  • Use Organize PDF first when pages inside one source need reordering, rotation or removal.
  • Use Compress PDF afterward only when the merged result is larger than you want and structural compression is appropriate.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change the order before merging?
Yes. Use the file-order controls in the selected-file workspace before starting. The merge follows that displayed order.
Does Merge PDF upload my files?
No. Supported merge processing runs in your browser and does not create a Secure Cloud document-processing job.
