Sign PDF visually

Add a typed, drawn or uploaded visual signature to one or more PDF pages directly in your browser, then download a flattened PDF. This is a visual signature, not a certificate-backed digital signature or e-sign workflow.

Add a visual signature

A visual signature is inserted text or an image. It is not a certificate-backed digital signature, identity verification, signing invitation or legal audit trail.

Import from URL

The source must allow browser CORS access. The file is fetched directly by your browser and is not relayed through PDFandDOC servers.

Visual signature source

How it works

  1. Select one PDF file and load local page previews.
  2. Type, draw or upload one visual signature, then place and adjust it on the pages you need.
  3. Flatten the visual signature placements into one verified PDF and download it.

Limits

  • One PDF file per run
  • Up to 25 MiB and 200 pages
  • Up to 100 visual-signature placements
  • Typed signatures use printable ASCII and built-in Helvetica Oblique
  • Drawn signatures become local PNG images; uploads accept bounded PNG or JPEG images
  • Move, resize and rotate placements with percentage and rotation controls
  • Output is flattened page content, not a certificate-backed digital signature
  • Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported by this tool.

PDF pages, typed signature text, drawn strokes and uploaded signature images stay in your browser and are not uploaded to PDFandDOC.

About this workflow

Sign PDF places a visual signature on one or more PDF pages. The signature source can use the modes offered in the workspace, such as typed text, a drawing or an uploaded supported image, and placements are flattened into the generated PDF.

This is not a certificate-backed digital-signature system. It does not provide cryptographic document signing, identity verification, signing invitations, certificate validation or an audit trail.

What to check before processing

Create or choose the visual signature source, select the target page and place the signature using the preview controls. Review size, position and rotation for every placement before generating the copy.

If the receiving workflow requires a cryptographic digital signature, qualified certificate, identity proof or platform audit record, use a service designed for those requirements rather than treating a visual mark as equivalent.

What to expect from the result

The output is a PDF with the visual signature placements flattened into page content. The result panel provides the generated copy for review and download while leaving the original unchanged.

A visible signature can communicate intent in some workflows, but legal and procedural requirements vary. PDFandDOC does not determine whether a visual signature is sufficient for a particular transaction.

Common uses

  • Place a visible signature image on a document that accepts a visual mark.
  • Add a typed or drawn signature to a simple internal form.
  • Prepare a signed-looking copy when no certificate-backed signature is required.

Tips for a better result

  • Check each placement at the page zoom you will actually review.
  • Use a clean uploaded image with a supported format when a scanned signature is needed.
  • Confirm the recipient's signature requirements before relying on the output.
