How it works

  1. Select one PDF file and load local page previews.
  2. Choose a page, add basic fields, and adjust their position and size.
  3. Flatten the additions into one verified PDF and download it.

Limits

  • One PDF file per run
  • Up to 25 MiB
  • Up to 200 pages
  • Up to 500 text, date, checkbox or simple mark overlays
  • Text uses built-in Helvetica and printable ASCII; multiline text supports up to 8 explicit lines
  • Existing AcroForm fields are not detected or filled; XFA is unsupported
  • Output additions are flattened and are not interactive form widgets
  • Encrypted or password-protected PDFs are not supported by this tool.

Processing and page previews run locally in your browser. Files and entered field values are not uploaded to PDFandDOC.

About this workflow

Fill PDF adds flattened text, date, checkbox or X-mark overlays to positions you choose on PDF pages. It is a visual overlay workflow, not an AcroForm or XFA form-field detector and not a general PDF editor.

The browser renders page context for placement when supported, then writes the configured overlays into a new PDF. Because the additions are flattened into the output, they should be reviewed as page content rather than assumed to remain interactive fields.

What to check before processing

Load the page preview, add the required overlay type and adjust the selected item's position and size using the available controls. Check every page that receives an addition before creating the output.

Use short text that fits the configured box. The current tool has explicit input limits and does not promise support for every script, font, dynamic form behavior or XFA document.

What to expect from the result

The generated PDF contains the added visual items flattened onto the selected pages. The original PDF is unchanged, and the output does not become a newly created interactive form merely because text or check marks were added.

Review alignment, clipping and page choice in the result preview. For regulated or formal forms, also verify that a flattened visual entry meets the requirements of the receiving organization.

Common uses

  • Add a short name, reference number or date to a static PDF.
  • Place visible check or X marks on a page that does not require interactive fields.
  • Prepare a visually completed copy of a simple non-XFA document.

Tips for a better result

  • Zoom the page preview when precise placement matters.
  • Keep text concise enough to fit the selected overlay area.
  • Do not assume a visually filled copy provides the behavior of an interactive form.
